Every July it comes for us - Back to School ads.

Packed full of Kidz Bop tunes, popped collars and dancing kids slinging the hottest binders and clipboards - these ads have become infamous for filling parents with existential dread nationwide as they try to enjoy the last sips of their summer.

So we wrote an ad about it. And even got to write a song with the lyrics “This stapler slaps” and “No cap I love this backpack.”

And of course we had to kill some Back to School banners in the process.

We worked with Pinterest who let us “break” one of their ad units (and a ton of rule about altering their UI in the process.) We targeted “Back to School” searches and served up a fake annoying ad that we pushed out of frame.
